Tree in Cedar falls, Iowa
This tree got hit really hard in a storm a couple of years ago and doesn’t have the leafy parts anymore. It was a sad day :(
GASP! I wanna see this tree!
It’s on 12th or 18th St somewhere between Iowa St and Clay St. It’s pretty neat! I know that doesn’t sound very descriptive. But it’s Cedar Falls. So. You know.
Dobbins Barn State Center Iowa by PaulAdamsPhotography on Flickr.
While traditional square barns are much more common, round barns were noted both for their shape and were considered a better way to house dairy cattle at the time - probably late 1800s to 1920s. There are numerous barns on the National Register of Historic Places, and this prime Iowa example is on there as well!
