being able to call it home. I love the the friendly people, the vast cultural acceptance, and the beauty of our lovely Midwestern state. I love the small town feel mixed with the modern uproar that has been growing, I love everything about Iowa and I am so so proud to be an Iowan.

I didn’t know my favorite thing about Iowa until I left. It sounds so cliche, but people are honestly so friendly here!

Now I am not religious, however, this is one of the best things I have ever found on my adventures throughout Iowa. The architecture and beauty. Not to mention it’s very near to a farm with a bunch of peacocks :)

I love the fact that no matter what age you are Iowa has so much to offer. The up and coming art and music scene, the rural farms and even the small town feel. Iowa will always be home no matter where I move to. The 515 is more than just an area code, its a lifestyle.

… is coming home to it. When I go on a trip with my family and come back, whether it be via car or plane, I love looking out the window and seeing the farmland. When it’s by car, I love seeing the tall grasses, the big farmhouses, barns and silos (and cows! I love the cows!), and when it’s by plane, I love seeing the patchwork greens, browns, and tans all over the ground.

My favorite part of Iowa is sitting on my front porch during a thunderstorm, after the rain has passed but the thunder and lightning is still rolling across the prairie. Sitting there with someone special, maybe sipping on a hot or cold beverage - just pure, calm bliss. - Nolan, Davenport
